Sometimes (not as much anymore) 'Seasonal' sell-out quickly and soon escalate to 2-3x as much from 3rd-party sellers. They often used to be Lego-store or online only which limited availability.

That doesn't seem to be the case anymore and probably fewer 'flippers' filling up their storage units with Seasonal sets that no longer sell-out right away.

I'd say if you like the set and want it as part of your Seasonal collection ( built or unbuilt, just looking at the box is OK too), and have FOMO, It's OK to buy even at full price.

No one said paying retail is to be ripped off. Just that retail pricing shouldn't be posted here, especially by someone with a STAFF badge.

Staff spam, unfortunately. I wish there was a way for them to put the % of MSRP in the title to avoid the headache.

I'm curious to where the $16.88 price came from. Did staff just make it up?

For some reason Amazon lists these sets at $16.xx retail and when it sells by Lego through Amazon at the actual retail price it automatically pops up as a "deal" at 23% off. Staff doesn't care to verify and it pops up here. Happens every time with these seasonal sets.

Picked this up at this price before I saw it here on SD. Will be nice to add to my Christmas Lego mantel scene.

"staff" posters are shilling hard for full-priced Lego sets today. This is the 3rd one I've seen, I think.

Use the camelx3 site and you'll see where the price usually hovers.

They block the url here because they don't want people here to know this "deal" isn't a deal and this price is the usual sale price.
