I use an Aeropress everyday but have been wanting a K-Cup maker as a convenient alternative to use on occasion. Have been unable to justify the cost to this point. Grabbed one with fingers crossed. The reviews of the product itself seem mostly positive; hoping the refurb works. lol
Terrible reviews at Walmart for the new ones, and these are refurbished. It sounds like it leaks a lot but maybe that's why so many got refurbished? https://www.walmart.com/ip/Farber.../357260046

I hate to be "that guy" but there are so many terrible reviews on Walmart's site (and it doesn't seem to be sold by Amazon, so no reviews there).
Spend another $8 and get Walmart's Mainstays brand. I have had the cheap ones and the name brands. It's the best. It works just as well and shuts off as soon as your coffee is done. I like it so much that I bought a backup.
My wife and I loved a refurb one we purchased. Then we bought one brand new at Walmart. These Farberware kcup coffee machines have been good very good to us! I have an official Keurig machine at work and the Farberware one is quicker, takes up less space, cheaper and looks nicer. IMO
I was about to buy one for use with ground coffee, but the 1-star reviews stopped me.
Thank you so much for the feedback. Not here to sway you, because I also found those reviews you were looking at, and it actually took me two days to get up the nerve to post the deal because of them.
I do not own this unit. But I have bought from this seller (other items, including a bag sitting at my feet). But these were my observations, and why I ultimately decided to post.
After seeing the page you are referring to, I found the page of reviews[walmart.com] for people who bought the renewed ones. But, it was only 9 reviews so I wasn't going to hang my hat on it alone. But it told me that *hopefully* whatever issues these units had, they sent them all to this seller to fix, and that is why they had so much inventory - and some positive reviews.
It is a seemingly versatile coffee maker that has potential to make people happy for only $12
And if they aren't happy, the seller has a 30 day money back policy - with seller paying return shipping
