Really annoyed with this company and their "giveth/taketh" ways. So annoying and unreliable.
I just installed 11 Wyze cameras this week (through the Woot refurb sale) so I hope this isn't true. So far, my experience has been great. With that being said, I am coming from FEIT & random other brands so I guess it isn't really a fair comparison.
This is my first consolidated ecosystem of smart devices and am liking it so far. Previously, I just went with the cheapest available and tried to piece meal it. It has gotten unwieldy. Hopefully the honeymoon period with Wyze isn't short-lived, but given the comments I've seen - I should lower my expectations.
I must say, I did get a dud on the Wyze Lamp Socket only 1 of 2 worked. Thankfully, it is pretty painless to return within 30 days.
Curious, if you had to pick another single provider to switch to, what company would you switch to? Nest / Blink / Ring were all too expensive for me. Or would you DIY with ONVIF / Home Assistant compatible cameras?

I have a few wyze cameras and many of their other devices. For the most part it's good. The motion flood cam though does randomly disconnect. When it does I need to turn the switch off and on to get it to reset

Do you just reset the camera via the app? Or do you have to do this via the circuit breaker / physical access to the camera? I literally just installed 4 of these. So far no issues with a sample size of ~1 week.
I had a similar issue with my FEIT flood light cameras from Costco about once a year. I ended up having to remove the device from the app, grab a ladder, and pair it again each time. It got annoying fast so I jumped on the Wyze floodlights @ $40 each (refurb).
I just signed up for the unlimited subscription last week using the SD code. I searched and found it in an old deal. I have 6 cameras which were on Cam Plus Lite. I'm having trouble with one camera going offline on a daily basis. I would never trust these cameras for my main security, I use Nest for that. I had one of their motion sensors in a 2nd home and it bit the dust. They don't even sell them anymore. I use the cameras mainly for monitoring a dehumidifier, a sump pump and temperature and humidity. They work well for those purposes.
Blink is at the bottom of my list. I tested one for a while and it is worthless.

Aside from everyone else's experiences.
In the 7+ years i've had my Wyze (i have wyze v1, v2, v2 pan, etc), i havent had MUCH an issue.
I will say, once a yr, maybe twice... i reboot one or two cameras (garage camera mainly, i assume FL heat).
I've had one wyze cam fail... i low key think someone in the house dropped it... (i wondered why it was on the kitchen table rather than on top of the cabinets like i mounted them) but there's no footage to prove 😂... wyze shipped a new one next day. So great CS on my end...
Again, i've owned v2's and below, no v3's+.
I just dont have a need for it, otherwise i would!
I have about 8 cameras + 2 spotlights outdoors (from the sale recently, so i can't count those).
Seriously, i dont see the big complaints about wyze aside from subscription service being a hassle. It's been pretty reliable for me, and when one of the cameras i have chooses to fail? I'll gladly upgrade to a newer camera (newer ones seem to have waaaay better night vision! My (new to me) spotlight shows night vision like its still day time! I was in shock!)
Hope this helps somewhat ease your purchase experience... I know the consensus is Wyze sucks? But maaaan, i cant complain for how long they've lasted me. I have a complaint about just almost every product too lol!

I think the huge issue with Wyze is they originally prided themselves on being the cool, free camera self monitoring company. Now they have just morphed into everyone else. I still have a bunch of old cameras I use for the garage and stuff. I am still on a quest for that unicorn system with good self storage and monitoring.

Why the hate for Blink? I have a couple and do like the battery life a lot.

I tested a wired Blink. When it was armed at night (while it was dark), it would not detect movement the next day. I still have it in the basement of a 2nd home. Sometimes it will detect motion, other times you could walk by it a million times and it will not trigger an alert.

I would stick with Wyze and see how you like them. They're cheap and if one fails you don't break the bank to replace it. I have four V2s and two V3s. The V3s are much better, especially at night. After I posted about one of my cameras going offline daily, it remained online all day yesterday!
