XPS 13 I think you're referring. That definitely is smaller, lighter and has better build and brighter display. But performance wise, this is way ahead as this has a far powerful i5-1240P vs U series i5 in that model. And 8GB Ram is a very limiting factor today, you will be limited to basic tasks only.

CPUs dont make noise... How often the fans are used, what speed, how loud the laptop is, all depends on the laptop manufacturer and model. At 30w nominal power these CPUs are easy to cool under normal use.

Get a Switch. Cheaper. Great games. Added benefit of easily seeing what the kids are doing (keep it docked to tv) and they won't be addicted to Roblox and getting warped by creeps and adhd ppl on the internet.

If you are comparing the touchscreen version of LG Gram (since this one is apparently a touchscreen as well), then it is almost the exact same weight as the LG Gram 14" (2.76 vs 2.75 lbs).

I saw that too. I think this is a pretty good deal considering a refurbished one with same specs are around $700. Just picked one up to replace mine for basic use, light Photoshop and games.

I have the non touch model of this in the same exact config and it's a nice computer. I got mine for 650 in June of last year at Costco.
