I have a pair of these. They're fine for wearing around the house. I think they look too goofy for me to wear out. They're somewhat comfortable. Feel is very synthetic/polyester. You also have the liner, which is a little different. I personally wouldn't buy them unless they were cheaper than 5 bucks each and I wouldn't want more than 2 of them myself.

I'm not much for "throwaway" type of items but at $2 a pair I'm not expecting a whole lot and not going to complain for whatever they are. Pretty insane that they could even ship them at this price. I'll let you know what I think when they arrive in 2 days

I don't think they're like sweatpants at all. The term "hybrid" in this context usually means that they are everyday gym type shorts, but also designed to be suitable for water activities, hence the built in liner (though not all hybrid shorts have a liner). I'm not quite sure what the copyrighted "Tailor Vintage" means, maybe that they look like old school gym/dad shorts…
