From my own experience and from what I understand about the 12900k is the memory controller is not as strong. I've had trouble getting my 12900k to run XMP 6000Mhz stable on my DDR5 kit. Even though my memory and motherboard are both on each others QVL. It will fail memory tests after a few hours of running. You might get luckly and get a good 12900k and it works, but it's not guaranteed by any means.
Almost tempted to drive the 2.5 hours to Boston for this
(Mostly kidding though, nobody in their right mind drives in Boston)
they will never ship this. will NEVER happen. they make no money on this. the entire purpose of these bundles is to get people to physically into the store and buy other stuff while there. it's the only way they can compete with lazy options like amazon

because they are scum buckets. i shopped there from 2004 to 2019. spent tens of thousands. but after they got bought out by some chinese company they went to s**t. bogus restocking fees. shipping broken returns instead of new items then blaming the buyers for breaking them. denying returns for made up reasons. allows scammers to sell on their platform and not helping customers when something goes wrong with 3rd party sellers. i can go on all day

on two occasions i bought brand new motherboards and got someone's broken returns. one of them had nearly all the pins destroyed. looked like someone whacked the cpu socket with a hammer. and they tried to blame it on me and reject the return. that was back in 2019. i filed a chargeback and never shopped there again

I currently have an Ryzen 5700x on a AM4 x570 mainboard. Would this be much of an upgrade? I would plan on transitioning the 5700 system into the computer my kids use. $400 seems pretty reasonable.

Pick a game, pick a resolution, pick a processor, check the differences. Looks to me like about 10% faster in the games I quickly glanced at; I wouldn't get excited about the differences. If you really want something faster, I would wait for 14th gen (both to see that, and to see what happens to 13th gen pricing).

We bought this bundle. Bought a new PSU, CPU cooler as well. Kept our old GPU.
We've been running the new build for a few weeks but we keep getting the blue screen of death when turning on our windows.

Has anyone else run into this issue?
It says its a Netwtw12.sys failed.

Go into BIOS, disable the Intel wifi hardware.
Can the machine now boot correctly?

Any idea if you can passthrough the iGPU and onboard SATA controller to a VM with ESXi?

Can you passthrough? Yes. Will it work is the question. For Linux, works great. For Windows, Gen 11-13 iGPU, no, cannot be passed through.
SATA should work fine.

Nice. I really like thed board, but wish it had the 13700K rather than the 12900K. Im upgading from 10700K on an Aorus Elite AC mobo that got rekt in a lightning storm.
I actually have the Msi mboard and aorus elite ac. I bought both by mistake. I went to start building a new rig and then I got the old one done before I ordered the cpu and ram.

I obviously only need one and I'd be willing to sell you the one you want. Just dm me.

Didn't there used to be a subreddit to hire someone to do much better pickup and shipping?
I'm heading over there and it's only a 3.5 hours away. I'm willing to ship / help out my fellow slick dealer

Appreciate it, but, luckily, the random local pc repair shop I took the PC to for diagnosis had an Aorus Elite (non-AC) brand new in box, hence, Ive already replaced it.
