And this is even AFTER using the GoldUS code...
I paid $8.29 yesterday, and then immediately after saw there was another deal (before fees, but with coupon) for mid-$6 or so. Granted went out of stock real quick before I had a chance to buy.

To use the conversion to Ultimate, you have to let the current account expire, correct? If that happens, would he lose all his achievements, and "free" games he's claimed while the account was active?

FYI using Xbox Live Gold codes to convert into GPU is still cheaper than paying for PC Game Pass by itself. If you want to do that, following thread has step by step instructions. But you can actually buy Xbox Live Gold codes wherever you want.

When I redeemed the keys, it actually showed that I had both active GOLD and Game Pass PC subscriptions. When I did the upgrade to Ultimate, it converted both.
BTW conversion upgrades any existing Xbox / Game Pass subscriptions since GPU is a bundle of all of them.
