I paid $8.29 yesterday, and then immediately after saw there was another deal (before fees, but with coupon) for mid-$6 or so. Granted went out of stock real quick before I had a chance to buy.

I bought them when I visited the country in June but I didn't know I could use them before expiration of my subscription. It is unfortuante. Also I had to use VPN to add them to my US account.
One bright side is with VPN MS allowed me to use the code from Turkey. This may imply that in the future even if this hack is gone it may still be possible to buy ultimate codes at a lower price and load them to my account.
Also, if you have 43 days left on a 3 year extension, will it still work?

The first 10 codes gave me 516 days, while the second 10 codes gave me a 518 days. Took 20 codes to go from Oct 18, 2023 to Aug 17, 2026. I don't have enough days to top up with another code. That means 14 codes gave me 52 days and 6 codes gave me 51.
Hope this helps with those looking at the math. I am unsure what triggered the 51 and 52 days, but I think it might have something to do with the number of days in the month when redeeming. Such as July - Sep has 92 days where as Feb - Apr has 89 days.
Not to mention the fact that they had already reduced it from one month to 14 days, increased the price of Game Pass, removed the 1:1 conversion unannounced by reducing the ratio by 1/3, not just axing Xbox Live but also Games w/ Gold for GPU which means no more 2 free games/month in a few days and replacing it with an interior service that's considered a downgrade and also prevents former subscribers who don't like nor want to pay for Game Pass Core lose access to all those games acquired over the last decade (at least since Xbox One) unless they shell out the new increased prices for Game Pass plans, (feel like there's one more I'm forgetting), ALL which occurred this summer…
While not sure about the other downgraded features and perks lost, it's obv the XBL => GPU conversion had to go and eventually the subscription price was gonna increase sooner or later but damn son! At least spread it out some, will ya?
