The "Smart" features are extremely lacking. I have this and I should have gotten something else. For the money, I expect to be able to track charging between 2 cars. It doesn't.
Cross shop if you want smart features.
At this price point, why wouldn't you future proof your purchase and buy the Tesla Universal Wall Connector.
That's what I wanted to go with, but I literally need to install one of these in the next two weeks, and even if it did ship on time from Tesla it wouldn't make it.
I went with a Juicebox over this Chargepoint, but I would have gone with the Tesla one.
I don't see everyones facination with the software except maybe for those with first gen EV's, as I can handle all the charging / usage time optimization / stats from my car's app.
Many utility companies provide rebates for JuiceBox or Homeflex but not the Tesla Wall Connector. Mine provided a $300 cash rebate for the HomeFlex which makes it a really good deal.

TBH, I have one with no smart features and I don't miss that one bit. I prefer all my smartness to be in the car. My two EVs do just that.
As a previous poster said - a lot of utility companies have this specific charger as one of two they do rebates for. I've twice received a $500 rebate for it (separate addresses). At this price, it's back down to their pre-price hike level.
Rock solid unit, but I'm kind of with the other poster - NACS will eventually replace J1772, so why not get one that does both?

But the rebate doesn't cover Tesla charger (only $50 with my utility).
I own this one courtesy of a power company rebate. What's said above is true, in the winter is where this thing shines because the cord is the most pliable out of the many that I've tried.
It's true that standards are changing, but J1772 adapters are usually pretty cheap and these are reliable chargers with good cables.
