When someone posts a deal with a link in it, SD will modeify the link so that it has the SD Affiliate code in it. This is why you constantly see posts from SD editors. so that they can get their cash back / kickback from the retailer. There is a lot of bias on this site to push those deals more than ones posted by regular users. the posts from SD editors will also get promoted to front page status way before deals posted by regular users.

I clicked thinking it was a "System".
Probably still a decent deal.

Why do most links on this site not work? It's a seriously chronic problem! Is it the Original Poster or is it Slick Deals causing the problem? Everybody can copy/paste a web link, so I'm thinking the later is the cause. I'm not the only one with this constant problem, am I?
I have a pair of these , Paid $180 Each and worth every penny. Natural sounding vocal. Lows, Mids and Highs are all very good if you pair it with decent receiver. I would say excellent for movies (HT system) and v.good for 2 channel stereo.

The links for this deal still don't work.....
But I considered these before deciding on the Studio 590 series back when they were on sale at $400 ea. Can't go wrong with JBL, they make great sounding speakers. My 5.1.4 channel home theater is now all JBL main speakers, it's impressive!

This seems like a good deal. I like that the speakers are 6.5 inch as that's a good sweet spot for bass but can still handle highs well. 90db is decent for sensitivity but I found it a little strange that it's 6 Ohms.
Tweeters on stage series are bit harsh. If you are sensitive to high frequencies, this might not be the one for you.
Agreed. I have a pair of 190s. Careful if you are using a cheap class d amp to power these. Lots of those have a rising frequency response. Use something with eq or tone controls so you can tame these a bit if needed.

Agreed. I also have these and really like them.
Ignore the claimed $399 regular price, that's inflated. These regularly go on sale around this price.
I was in an apartment when I first started rebuilding my home theater (divorce claimed my old setup) and decided against getting a sub, so I wanted towers with good low-end reproduction and wow, do these deliver.
I'm back in a house now, but my living room is fairly small and these deliver so much bass that I still haven't added a sub. Usage is mostly for TV/movies, but I occasionally use AirPlay and music sounds great, too.
My setup is unusual, I have a pair of these JBL's along with a pair of Dayton Audio bookshelf speakers in a 4.0 configuration with a TSR700 and I am very happy.
Edit: I also see it only took 4 posts for someone to bring up the 590s, even though they're anywhere from triple to quadruple the price (also on sale). Right on time, never fails.

I agree. I would not pair these JBL with cheap class D amplifier. You can get a low cost used class a/b from Denon on Ebay that would pair great
