I would highly recommend these after replacing my regular dumbbells. Very easy to use and reliable so far. Square shape feels great for grip strength
Game changer for a average joe like me.
The exp version of these were $200 here (via Woot) three months ago. The expansion stages were highly discounted too. Unfortunately they haven't been available again since. For now, this is definitely the best available deal.
These are fantastic. I paid $300 for them a year ago and they have been so worth it.

The only thing is the jump from 20 to 25, 30 to 35, etc can be tough for some movements.

I bought 2 1.25lb weights and magnets and jsut put those on the side for that jump.

Well… after 3 months of waiting for the sport 50 exp stage 1 to come back , I finally caved and bought these. I guess the stage 2 and stage 3 expansions will continue to collect dust for now. Thanks OP.

I have been eyeing these things for years. The cheapest I remember the Elite or EXP models (the ones withexpandable options) being are $300/pair. Considering I likely will never actually need the expansion sets, this may be worth for it me and I may finally bite.

Lol but when you buy stage 1 later on you'll have 2 sets of handles. One pair of handles will be 10lb and the other pair 5lb.. You'll never have to deal with adder weights.

I think I paid $100 for my extra pair of handles so this isn't a bad deal with the extra weight. I was actually waiting for a sale to do the same but I got impatient.

How are these compared to Bowflex 552?

I didn't think I needed to go above 50 lbs per side, but now I am in the boat looking to get stage 2 so I can increase weights. I bought the powerblock expandable set a while back. The ones you mentioned are not expandable. The other issue with the bowflex is that they are extremely wide (about 4 inches wider than these) so doing a full motion rep (lift) is even more limited.

I would stick with powerblock because of their compact form and them being square-ish.
I'd also stick with the expandable version because well you can add weights as you need.

I've got both. the 552 is better for small increments, but it's clunkier (bigger is size). I'll use the powerblocks if needing dumbbells in 10 pound increments. Since I have the 552, I don't play with the 5 pound weights in the powerblocks, its too much work. I have a stand for both dumbbell sets, well worth the money.

Still using this set after 5 years. The clip may seem like it'll slip off on the workout but it hasn't failed me yet. Feels great on the hand( can be subjective). Worth it at this price.

Sounds dangerous lol what if we are doing benchpress and clip fails. 😌
