When you have both superfast fiber internet and an AT&T WirelessSM plan.
Eventually they are going to come back at you and raise the price if you don't have the wireless plan
I guess that is location specific because I also don't get it but 300mpbs shows up as $55 for me so it makes sense that OP is getting it for $55 without wireless.

Paying $70 a month flat rate no promo or gimmicks. No outages like AT&T so far. Pain in the butt trying to get AT&T gateway to hand off public IP to my firewall and then have to shut off firewall, wireless etc etc on the router/gateway.
Alternatively Google fiber plugs straight into my firewall. No need to use their mesh WiFi since I have my own setup.
Tried to sign up for promo and said I was already a customer using address to search.
When clicking " New internet service " it only allows the $20 when subscribing to wireless plan also, so its YMMV with this. Just another reason to stay away from AT&T and all the gimmicks.
