Not sure what you're talking about- the game has no FPS cap by default on PCs and plenty of folks benching the game on initial release were getting >60fps without any INI tweaks needed.

That said, you DO need a 4090 or 7900 XTX if you wanna do that in 4k ultra...(down in 1080p land even a 4060ti ought be able to crack 60 fps)

Yes, I agree PC is the way to go, but the navigation is still somewhat clunky in the menu system.... In my opinion.

Downloaded it yesterday for "free" on GamePass. Also downloaded Life of P. Not sure which one to play first.

Not sure why someone would pay $55 for it, when you can just get game pass if you don't have it.

I'd wait to buy. None of my most recent high level saved games will load. 30+ hours of gameplay lost nothing works only my level 2 save loads. Been dealing with Bethesda horrible customer service with no known fix and this a major problem many people are experiencing https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfiel...ing_saves/

I just can't seem to get into it. I try but I can only take 30 minutes before I'm bored out of my mind. The characters aren't interesting, the story so far isn't interesting. It just feels like re-skinned FO4 in space with procedurally generated planets "just because."

There's more stuff going on in space in No Man's Sky while this game treats space like a menu/loading screen.

Its a good game, prepare for lots of loading screens and fast traveling, I didnt bother with ship and outpost building because it was so clunky, the resource scanning that they push in the trailer is pretty useless if not building, the surface map is a joke, the planets are pretty boring for the most part, the main campaign is....eh, its the weakest of the Besthesda rpgs imo but overall I did enjoy the game, it has some good side missions, the gunplay was solid.
