How good is their espresso lately? In my city, the "cute and cozy" coffee shops that everyone sort of prefers over Starbucks cannot make a decent cup of espresso.

Same here, we used to go to Starbucks frequently, until their politics got too radical and in the way of enjoying their coffee. Sad because they're only a couple of blocks away from our house, I can easily walk there. Oh well, now we make our own coffee at home.
