Yes, back in stock! Costco originally sold this computer for $1,199. They then had a sale on in it for $999 and then sold them when they discontinued the product for $699. This is a screaming deal for what is essentially a brand-new computer. I bought one at Costco and returned to buy this one, zero difference, same model number and looked brand new.

30 day return policy, simply take back to store, no need to mail it back. One year manufacturer warranty.

I too had never bought electronics from Target, though this purchase is from a third party associated with Target. With that said, of course its okay to return if opened. You could go to a Costco and try the new model that is similar to this to try the keyboard. Below is the orginal add for this computer at Costco, perhaps reading the reviews you could learn more about the keyboard.

Thanks. I went for it. Costco reviews tell me the keyboard has some issues (low-contrast, not great feel for some), but I'll try to make it work. There's also a review that says it doesnt' workt with docking stations/multi-monitor, but luckily I kept digging and found another one that basically said: "I don't know what that other person is talking about. It works fine with my HP modelxyz docking station."

Honestly, I was tempted to order two. I won't really need a second until December -- hopefully by then there will be some decent black friday deals.

I also should have ordered more than one and given a couple of them away to extended family. Great specs for such a low price. I think a fair amount of electronics that are semi sophisticated get returned to Costco because the end user doesn't fully understand how to use the product. For instance, they used to sell $1,600 Nikon SLRs and over time you could find them refurbished all day long. Why, because the person purchasing the camera expected a $1,600 photo and didn't get it because they had no idea how to utilize the camera let alone post editing. To a certain degree, same goes for computers, etc.
