good price if you just want a 4k monitor. I've had this monitor and its perfectly decent, though it doesn't get that bright and the colors are a bit washed out. 4-5 year old model...

Confirmed on the Samsung website it's a VA panel. This model was first released in 2018.

Exactly! VA is horrible. I vowed to never buy a VA. Right now, I have two IPS 4 k monitors adjacent to each other and love it.

I've had this monitor and well the colors were not super vibrant at all. If you're just programming or something in an IDE or browsing the web its fine I guess.

Have had an IPS next to it though and its much better. That said I'm using a much newer Samsung 34" QLED right now that is also VA and newer VA panels are also much better than the UJ590 panel.
