I am confused as to why this jacket would even have a 650 retail price. The features don't seem all that special. Am I missing something?

I'm also confused. I'm looking for a winter jacket but the msrp seems inflated to make it look like a good deal.

I gave this a shot since I get free returns at REI. It seems like a decent warmth to weight ratio based on reviews and also apparently very high quality.

What has me guessing is the sizing. REI sizing vs that from their website seems to be conflicting. I went with REI so hopefully it doesn't let me down.

It's hard to tell from the pictures but the brand makes some of the most bomb-proof gear. These are very high-quality, durable, and sustainably made garments. Their garments are not trendy or stylish but rather timeless so that you will use them for many years which is part of their sustainable mission.
