10 adjustable-height shelves, 5 on either side; each shelf holds 100 pounds and can be raised/lowered in 1-inch increments
Unless you're very careful not to bang them up, the chrome models on these tend to hold up the best.
Just make sure you don't expose them to moisture.
Someone mentioned using them as a plant stand, but I definitely wouldn't try to do hydroponics with them, for example.
