However having just gone down the miserable road of replacing my refrigerator, go find a local outlet (scratch and dent) place. Best Buy, Sears and a few others have these store and the selection is excellent.
You can buy very top of the line products from Samsung, kitchen aid Lg for $1-1500.

I second this to an EXTENT, you can find some great deals out there but definitely I would assign it as a YMMV category, and bordering on extreme YMMV depending on what you're looking for that may be in high demand.
I have many Best Buys near me from Cinci to Cleveland and a lot of the more quality items like their 'Open-Box Excellent' are unavailable. Be careful and don't get your hopes up when you look at the brand new item it'll say underneath 'Open-Box: from $xxxx.xx' which starts at their worst quality 'Open-Box Fair'. It also doesn't mean it's available either so they get you that way too.
So in your Dacor model (now owned by Samsung and their "premium" line), you linked to it shows 'Open-Box Fair' starting at $2,066.99 so definitely not $1,300. Of course there's likely a regional and quality of an individual unit factors at play too.
So just FYI for others it'll take some hunting and waiting for sure, especially if you want a more quality item without cosmetic issues. I personally finally gave up after 6 months of looking and waiting and opted for the Samsung Bespoke 29 model from Costco for $2k and comes with 3 year warranty, install and haul away.
Yes not as basic as these, but at least compared to the $1,600 in this post I'm getting more fridge space, convertible middle drawer, indoor water dispenser, ice maker in the bottom freezer (where it belongs), and Costco's 3 yr included warranty and optional 2 year extension warranty.
Just make sure you factor in all the variables with scratch and dent and open box items because often it's not that much of a price difference from a brand new item with a Sam's or Costco that already prices below most big appliance retailers.
I've had this fridge for around five years now. It has been quiet and reliable, and the ice maker works very well. It's a great fridge as far as I'm concerned.

You've had this exact model number for 5 years? Because I see this comment all over about how people have had "this fridge" for 5, 10, 12, years or whatever and 9 times out of 10 they have a similar looking fridge possibly in the same size/dimensions as the one in question, but it is a completely different model, with different components, made in a different country.
If you are buying a fridge, this video should be required watching[youtube.com]. If you spend time doing your research and asking people who are actually experts, they will tell you exactly what this guy does in 25 minutes.
We ended up getting a Made in USA GE model and are happy so far, but again, you see this comment all the time and the only thing that really matters is how long it last, which you can't know until it breaks. So appliance technicians are the people who should have a better idea than most consumers. I will say that ours is "garage-ready" which means the compressor is rated for higher ambient operating temperatures which should hopefully help even when it's not in a garage.
But I still realize that we ultimately cannot know until many years down the line. The GE certainly feels much higher quality than the side-by-side whirlpool we got less than 2 years ago that already had complete compressor failure (I tested the windings with a multimeter) as well as multiple broken plastic shelves within months. That whirlpool also had the evaporator drain constantly clogging and spilling over, as well as a terrible stainless finish that did not hold up whatsoever.
It's been this price for a while. I almost bought it a month ago, after my junk LG died after 5 years. This is non returnable and the reason I decided against it.

I would also like to know which GE model you have. Fridge reliability is pretty important to me. I had my eye on this model WRB322DMBM because it seem to be heavily reviewed and positively reviewed. Not having an in-door ice dispenser seems to be the biggest factor in predicted reliability and this one fits that.

For the price you may save on dents and scratches, you may have to spend just as much on the delivery and installation unless you're willing to haul that fridge from Best Buy, into your truck, bring it home, unload it, haul it to the final location, installing it. I checked and these scratch and dent outlet place doesn't include delivery service. Maybe they would offer but it'll be separate cost. I just got Costco $1000 fridge delivered and I was thinking like at least like $3-400 is the delivery and installation fee if I had to pay that service separately. My large solid wooden table delivery and installation was like $300 separate fee.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say? It's really ok that you paid retail, hugs..
The website definitely does not cover all the items they have at the store. Imagine an entire Best Buy full of appliances. It's a regional clearing house for Best Buy (Houston). $99 next day delivery. You can purchase the full retail protection plan, financing options you see on the website.
The prices vary by item condition. So you can find things not listed on the website that have different levels of damage, time on the floor etc.
So just an fyi for others dents don't negate quality. I got a four door flex model with a beverage door and two kinds of ice in the bottom (because the ladies love that).
Just make sure you factor in all the variables because you can save cash and we all know, suckers pay retail.
I've had this fridge for about three years (WRB322DMBM). It's been perfectly reliable. Tons of useful storage in the fridge and no dealing with the hassle of in-door water/ice-dispensers. I'm not a big fan of modern, feature-rich appliances. This will work well for those of you that want a cavernous fridge with no in-door dispensers.

$99 delivered next day. They would've installed (ice, water line) for another $30 and haul off was a around $30 more I think? Total was $160 without you having to touch a thing(or you can just list it on Facebook and the recycle guys would pick it up).
In for one, thanks! Paid $50 haul away of old fridge, $17 for installation parts, + tax. For me, total came to $1338.94 with delivery scheduled Sept 20.

Well $2k isn't retail, it's called Labor Day sales but gg.
Pretty easily explained. Read again? $1,300 isn't replicable, BB site has a somewhat extreme YMMV. Pretty understandable for others. Retail statement… lmfao.
