- THX Certified Ultra: THX engineers completed hundreds of different scientific tests to ensure the highest audio performance possible. The tests ensure the speaker can reach the high volumes necessary to achieve THX Reference Level without creating audible distortion or artifacts. I've read that Monoprice started sending out replacement amps instead of having people send back the whole unit.
Subs you can always mix. Speakers it's best to keep the same brand and style. The frequency of subs are so low that it's hard to even tell what direction there coming from so that why it's Ike to mix different brands and sizes of subs
