I remember working at McDonald's in the 90s when I was in high school and we would have $0.29 hamburgers and $0.39 cheeseburgers every Wednesday evening. I think it was limit 10 per person and we'd get lines of ppl to the back of the store. Insane.
I remember that, too, during that time, too. We just bought as many burgers as possible and froze them. We did that with the mulan chicken nuggets, too. That's when McDonald's first introduced the sweet and sour sauce. MD also had 20 pieces for $1 or something ridiculous like that for a day, so my roommates and I went and bought as much as we could - froze them all. I almost miss being a poor college kid.

Freezing burgers with buns isn't an option! Those who've attempted it know where I'm coming from (upon defrosting and heating). I won't even describe the results (as it's nauseating)!🤢 Don't bother!
Maybe, but I feel like there was a limit of 2 or maybe even 4 when they did it a year or 2 ago.
Guaranteed one per customer! That's been the case consistently, ever since they released their (poor excuse for an) app several years back. They do this for several days (various items at crazy prices) at least once a year. This promo isn't related to that. The workaround is establishing multiple accounts with different emails. You can switch profiles at will by signing out and back in using another account (verification is via an email link, no p/w required). The selection of coupons may vary by account, but this one should be universal since it's a national promo. The only downside is that stupid nonsense, where they keep you waiting 15 minutes to use another coupon! That remains consistent, as it's tied to the phone, not the account. That workaround would require multiple phones. At least they shortened the time from 60 mins. to 15 mins. some time ago. Burger King didn't get that memo!

BTW....It's actually "National Cheeseburger Day", not "the foodie holiday" (as described above for some odd reason). There are likely deals at various burger joints on 9/18/23 as well. Here's one at Wendy's that runs for 5 days (the coupon likely resets each day) and blows this one away!..... https://people.com/wendys-selling...ay-7968920

Remember when double cheeseburgers were $1? Then they "created" the McDouble so they could still offer something similar for $1? And now both those things are $3 and you're wondering where the last 20 years of your life went?
