Can anyone comment if this can charge via USB-C while on? I've heard a few complaints that ot can't, but curious if they've changed it in a bios update or something.

It does not go all that bright all the time. In SDR mode, 600 too 650 nits is the maximum you'll get. That 1200-nits is the peak brightness and only reaches that while watching HDR content in HDR mode.
And 1200-nits is nothing new, all the laptops which come with MiniLED display, can reach close to that brightness, including some of the laptops, released 3 years back, like MSI Studio 17.

First thing, it's an RTX 4060.
Then this is Lenovo's Slim 9 series - High-end Conumer/Multimedia laptop line. Less weight than traditional gaming laptops of same screen size
This laptop is also in the gimmicky 'Creative' laptop category because of the Nvidia discrete Gpu with lower wattage and Studio drivers
Also the screen is the highest end available currently suited for artistic users.

The chassis, keyboard, trackpad, speakers, and screen are all phenomenal. The speakers are about as good as a PC laptop gets. You're buying a lot more than the core components when you get a laptop. That said, it's not for everybody and there are downsides to this one.

Battery life is reportedly quite bad and the USB-C port does not allow charging while the system is on.

Once you get to 4080 you can't keep the slim form factor w/o severe power limiting, so 4060/70 has it's place here. Could always reduce the resolution while playing games + keep it for productivity / creative apps.

It can take charge via thunderbolt 4 port but maximum of 140w. Can charge while it's turned off or if it's idling.

140w USB-C charger is hard to find, 100w for sure. How can you power this laptop with 100w charger while already consuming 60-80w while being used?

For what it's worth, I had some time to kill in Costco yesterday and tried out the keyboard of every laptop on display. This one was a clear winner. (The latest 16" MacBook Pro has a pretty bad keyboard, BTW.) When my wife finally arrived, I made her try out a few keyboards, too. She also picked this Lenovo as the clear winner. They keys took the least force to register, and they all require consistent force.

I have this laptop and the second nvme slot is only gen 3 speed. I upgraded the first slot to 2tb that runs at gen 4 speed. The battery like the reviews and others have commented sucks.
