I bought the roborock Q Revo Robot Vacuum and Mop for 700 from amazon. 780 with tax but I got 5% off cuz of the amazon card. Did some research. seems like the Roborock Q has better self cleaning of the mop than the max version. It apparently has worse ability to avoid obstacles.

I have the Roborock S7 with just the vacuum dock, the iRobot S7+ and the m6. The iRobot S7+ is really awesome but the m6 mop just doesn't work and the customer support is not there. The roborock works but has a lot of faults. vacuums and mops at the same time so dirt would really just get stuck on the mop instead of going into the vacuum on hard floors. When transitioning from hard floors to carpet it makes the carpet sticky. All the bots that mop just don't have enough water storage.

I'm hoping this version takes care of some of the faults from the previous bots.

For real tho, as an S7 MaxV Ultra owner, these names are getting more ridiculous than Street Fighter editions lmao

The price needs to drop lower than hiring a maid every month or buying 350 mops. And if it's a pure time loss consideration, I've never been that lazy, and I try to be lazy every day.

This makes sense for old people though I think. Worth it to keep grandma from breaking a hip, but I just can't at this price point.

The Q Revo seems to work the best, with caveats. But near a grand for a $2 mop replacement... no no.
I do both, yes I'm rich.

Yep. My cleaning ladies do this job well. They also move the rugs and clean under them.

Not really man it all depends on your situation.....

I agree that there is a breakeven price point as these were really expensive last few years and even through earlier part of the year but for example I got the Dreametech s10 Ultra (another Xiaomi brand) for $650 a couple month back and it does mopping, pad cleaning, dust collection and good AI etc.

I now have LVP all over the floor (about 1500-1600) sq feet and this aided our cleaning by reducing the hours/effort by running this 2-4 times a week based on needs and cleaning needed.

How often do you get maids and how much do you pay?

I have owned less expensive robots I can say these are worth the added cost.

The ultra has incredible avoidance and mapping ai. The auto washing mop and mopping capabilities on the bot are fantastic.
Oh, for sure. I'm not disputing that at all. My first robot was one of those dumb ones that cleaned randomly and relied on crashing into things to change direction.

Since then, I've owned a 3 Neato D-series vacs and a Roborock. I will say the difference is night and day compared to the dumb bots. Neato still cleans better than Roborock even though Roborock has an awesome app, but sadly they're shutting the company down.

Anyways, all that being said, I thought $399 was expensive at the time (2018) for top-of-the-line models. $799+ for a robot vacuum is just out of hand to me, especially since there have been minimal to no improvements since then. At that price, I could get a Dyson stick vacuum for each floor...

At this price you really should get the Max Ultra Pro Turbo Edition /s
I was planning on that but I'm kinda getting the feeling the Q Revo is actually better for mopping ?

That'd take up half my house lol... And yes my house is small... I do wish I had a little trash for my Roborock S5 Max. I have a couple area rugs that really fill it up.

My stick vac from roborock died after a year of light use (battery won't hold charge, broadly reported issue) and they wouldn't support. These guys sell e-waste.

Just the more advanced ones. More basic ones with LiDAR can be found for $150-$200

The Wyze vac was on sale for $150 sometime ago, can't really go wrong with that as it's a clone of the S4

Got the the Qrevo for more than two weeks now, the mop is amazing! That's exactly the reason I paid the premium. However, as someone already said, it can get stuck, mine got stuck when it's rolling over some wires. The other thing is its water tank is too small, if you have a big area of floor, the bot may need more than one water tank refill. Otherwise it does the job really well.
