Personally this grip is a requirement for extended handheld sessions on Switch. It's a really great design.

Only downside (if you can call it that) is that you will also need to get one of their cases if you want to pack the Switch with the grip still attached, as traditional cases do not fit both.

You can obviously just toss the grip by itself in your bag and use a normal Switch case, but you risk breaking the grip this way. Still, it would take quite a bit of force to do it.
Frequent traveler here. I bought a steam deck case and my switch with the grip fit perfectly. So no need to pay extra for their case.

ZenGrip is very nice. Currently rocking a Skull n Co for my switch, but had the Gen 1 and Gen 2 ZenGrip's prior. Really comfortable, and gives nice access for the right stick and buttons.

Just keep in mind that you will have to take off the grip to dock it, and it's not made to protect. If you need both of those in your case over comfort in handheld gaming, look elsewhere.

ZenGrip is definitely higher quality than Skull n Co but I feel Skull n Co has better design for backplate. The backplate on ZenGrip is a little thick and may need getting used to since it touches your fingers

Yeah, hard to go back to caseless once you've got a good grip, but there are the annoyances that come with them. I've got the Skull an Co grip myself, then I've got a waterfield cityslicker case for the OLED Switch with Skull and Co Grip. Works well for me, but most people aren't going to splurge for that case.

I ordered a clearance zen grip 2 and ended up getting a zen grip 3.
I love it on my switch (release day)
it's def extremely comfortable and I feel like it provides additional support. the only drawback was you had to remove it if you want to dock it.
the latest version is redesigned to be dockable without needing to remove it.

i previously got screwed over by NYXI's pos pro controller. so I still had the case which luckily fits the zen grip in it perfectly

My main concern is it'll scratch the Switch over time. I'm just using a HORI switch pad pro and it works great.

I have and love this.
The switch doesn't slide into plastic it only touches rubber bumpers all along the sides so I have had no issues or concerns with scratches.

The grips as of a couple years ago have rubber stops that prevent any scratching or marking on the switch or joycons

I've been a happy satisfye user since I had my launch switch and even got a 2nd one to fit the OLED model I upgraded to. Best grip I have used after trying the skull & co. and a few other joycon replacements

This grip is so good, makes handheld play a dream and actually preferable to TV in my case (OLED screen + Satisfye = perfection).

I can't imagine playing a first person shooter without this case.

If you play your switch handheld for prolonger periods, this is a must. Doubly so if you play it in bed.

my recommendation is for skull & co, it's work great interchangeable grips, and the balanced aesthetic just looks better to the eye. base price is cheaper ( normal msrp)

Even with the discount, this seems high for a switch handheld grip. $14.99 - $19.99 would be more reasonable for a plastic grip.

Is anyone able to confirm if this specific model will fit the original switch?
