I'm 3 warranty claims for 2 screens and a motherboard into my 8 month old s95b and can confidently tell you, avoid Samsung OLED tvs. First visit from my local repair company and they said the same thing, s95b/c all are some of the worst tvs they repair.

To make it worse, repair centers do not carry the screens, so when they determine its possibly the screen, they freight ship you (the customer) the parts (2weeks min) then you call the repair center to schedule a repair (1/2 weeks out) then they show up, replace the screen, and hopefully it's fixed. (In my case, it was the motherboard, so they had to ship that part and start over. A month of down time and it's pretty clear, samsung doesn't care or have any reasonable customer service to correct their quality issues.

I am very suprised they replaced the panel more than once

Last time I had an issue like yours, the 2nd round they just gave me another television and picked the old broken one up

It's been a journey. I'm currently waiting for another screen to arrive. This will be panel 3. There is something else going on with the TV, samsung won't exchange it or refund the TV. It works a couple months then takes a poop. I suspect it's power supply related, however, no one else agrees.

Samsung won't even discount an extended warranty.

Should have kept the LG C2. I down sized like a fool.

Samsung lost around 10k in yearly revenue from me. All my rentals and new constructions will be outfitted with anything other than Samsung.

I have a 2008 Samsung LN52A750 1080p that is still running perfectly.
Except I've had to repair it twice.
Pwr PCB burned transistors on year 4, replaced PCB myself for $90.
Then on year 9 that PCB started shutting itself off. I replaced some capacitors that had leaked and failed. I purchased a spare PCB for $85, just in case that failed.
So, for the past 6yrs it's been running fine.

I wouldn't have gone through the hassle had I not paid $2300 for it.
And it does have one of the nicest 1080p panels I have seen.

I just bought an LG G2/(Costco 5yr), and even though Costco sells the Samsung S90C, I still will not buy a 5yr warranted Samsung after reading the reviews on Samsungs, and my own experience.
Even with a 5yr in-home repair warranty I don't want the hassle.

I would shy away from TCL as well. I just replaced the backlight LEDs on my 2yr old TCL 55S425 for $28.
The TCL 55S425 was a free All State insurance replacement for a TCL that had "splotchy" fluorescent backlight issues. We still have that "splotchy" TV in a guest room. You don't notice it until you see a white background.

But you just can't beat a COSTCO warranty being included on the TV's they sell.

Sounds like it's not a buy dig issue directly, not much they can do if a shipping company is causing issues.

mmmmKay, there used to be lots of deals on say 8000 series 55" sammys, and not only top of the line OLEDs. For many years. I dont need a $1400 TV in a room that barely gets used, but I also dont want the $300 walmart special either.

Those TVs you're referencing are trash.
