Top Comments
- Only air intake is the cpu radiator mounted in the front pulling air in and preheating it before it hit the gpu
- Much higher than average case temps
- Cooking the 4090, resulting in one of the highest 4090 temps
- Bios won't allow four sticks of ram to run at 5600, only 4000
Not making the radiator an exhaust up top and not having all 4 sticks be able to get to 5600 made this a definite no for me. Its a terrible design.
I tried to make the closest apples to apples comparison with PCPP and selected the cheapest components. This prebuilt is still cheaper (not by much if you exclude the OS, although I did leave fans out so there's a few bucks more that would be required if you are doing a complete build):

With this you get a single device to return/RMA if something fails as opposed to sending individual parts back. I felt the trade off with the proprietary MB and GPU was worth it... Just my opinion/rationalization of my own purchase.
"This product has a proprietary motherboard that is incompatible with high speed ram. What's really unacceptable is that it is advertised and shipped with 5600 Mhz ram, but the product actually does not even support the ram that it's shipped with. This is obviously not acceptable and feels dishonest. You simply cannot use high speed ram with this product which is insane for a $3000 computer. As things stand, it seems you will never be able to upgrade to highspeed ram for the life of the product. The BIOS is proprietary and extremely limited. Some of the supplied drivers from the Lenovo website actually cause more harm than good. Some of the drivers/software on the download page are recycled from other Lenovo products and this is very evident because when you download and run the drivers you will get an error message."
Everything else I've found is $1000+ more. Guess I'll keep waiting.

Hmm is that really that bad of a config?
I mean front mount rad not necessarily no other intake fans.
I am trying to complete my build right now just deciding on fans and placement.
If I top mount the rad and exhaust air out the top then wouldn't I be taking hot air from the GPU and blowing it through the rad? You are saying it is worse to front mount then.
I have an EVGA FTW 3080ti with a pretty hefty 3 fan cooler and a 12700k
And am building in a meshify 2
I got the deep cool lt720 and plan on ditching the fans for Lian li 120inf
I got a 3 pack of them but having trouble finding the reverse models.
They are expensive and I want to maximize my RGB visibility and not have to buy another 3 , so I will have 6 120 inf fans and the non RGB case fans as well as 3 deep cool non RGB fans I took from the AIO
I thought About top mounting the rad so I would have 3 fans inside pushing air out and maybe using 3 of the fractal case fans or the deep cool ones as pull fans since I don't care about RGB being visible from the top of the case and putting the other 3 Lian li inf in the front as intake.
And using the other 3 case or deep cools on the bottom under the cage.
The other option I was thinking was push pull on the front with 6 120inf on the rad and 3 more up top for exhaust.
I figured the first config would be bad because I would be pushing hot GPU exhaust through the top rad and out.
But you are saying that is more ideal then front mount even if I have fans at the bottom for intake too?
additionally I also thought that a top mount rad is more risky in case of a leak in the AIO , probably unfounded
though, I know they supposedly don't leak often and the lt720 is supposed to be "leak proof" but I have no actual data as to where the most common point of failure is when they do leak, of leaking from the rad or the hose connectors goot into it is rare or not I mean.
I figured a rad leak in the front at least won't soak my GPU.
(I want to make it isn't excluded for the cash back, as I already placed an order and need to decide if I cancel it.)

Post in thread 'Lenovo Legion Tower 7i (Gen 8) Review: An Upgradeable PC with Few Frills' https://forums.tomshard
This is the RAM kit that person used:
CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 5600MHz CL40 Intel XMP iCUE Compatible Computer Memory - Black (CMK64GX5M2B5600C40) https://a.co/d/axWrDqi
Read from the 4080 thread that it can now run 5600 on 2x16 config. Can it run 5600 on all 4x16 sticks for the 64 model?
I was against building PCs until I ran into this. And also, I realized my MSI prebuilt case has crap airflow vents. There are advantages of building yourself. However, it takes a lot of research. Some people do not have the time, or not willing to spend it. I say it's better to do that research since you become we informed, and such knowledge will help make the most optimal build for the budget possible.

I work in cybersecurity - they have the ability to embed malware in hardware now - wiping/reinstalling Windows is not effective anymore.
