Wow lucky I ordered early, got my system up and running for a few weeks. Still showing CB pending though but judging from the more recent posts I don't have my hopes high.

Do you think this might be a solid alternative? https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...uAgdEIEMbw
I think it's considered a worse overall system due to heat issues since it is the older r15 case and over $200 more than this deal.

I went ahead and placed an order since it now says limited stock and the 2tb 64 version is unavailable now. I wanted to wait on Black Friday but no guarantee a better deal comes around plus I was able to do Amazon pay through Lenovo.

The r15 13900F, it is very limited performance. their 4090 is like 4080. CPU's max timespy is 27000. The actual same build real score suppose to be 35000 above. So I couldn't get another alienware. I tested manytime and it won't let you overclock it. Alienware motherboard is z690 and only 2 memory slots and 2 M.2 space. Lenovo has 4 slots memory and 3 m.2 slots and I assume lenovo has less thermal throttling issues. Alienware when you run test you will know they limited performance so much and their very very limit way you can change it.

don't order 2tb 64, their forum showed 64gb ram still problem there. moreover, 32GB is cheaper and I assume they can ship earlier than 64GB.

What do you mean by "pending"? Is there a status in CB that says pending, or is it just listed as your shopping trip without the check mark?

Chances of a better deal by Black Friday? Last year there was nothing on a high end pc.
Black Friday gonna be a joke, retail is not dropping prices by all that much because they are drawing down inventory hoarded during the pandemic.. very little is getting sold that wasnt here by Jan 1 2023.

Smart move probably.. The stock will run out and you won't find a 14th gen Intel / 4090 combo any close to this price come Black Friday. They won't keep producing last gen Intel combos and delivery dates well into December if you wait till BF

It's hard to count on BF prices because 40 series card still has a long ways to go. Most likely these prebuilt manufacturers have a "JIT" approach to their supply chain thats why it breaks so easily when demand spikes (like Lenovo's) so there's really no inventory for them to clearance.

Building your own might be a different story though. But still, the retail price of 40 series cards make that a non-starter for me even if I could save on other components.

Good points on buying now vs hoping for a Black Friday deal beating this one. I know last year there was almost nothing on higher end pc deals. I think Bestbuy had a 3080 system for $1500 and that was pretty much it.
