I bought a pair of model 750's back in 1999. These units came with a lifetime warranty. I sent them in numerous times when the motors ceased (they even paid for shipping both ways). A few years ago, they stopped honoring the lifetime warranty. I shed some tears, but I got my money worth on them.
One of these recently ceased up again and that is when I learned that the lifetime warranty is no more.
Instead, they offered 50% any new Vornado. I picked up a 633DC for $50. When my second 750 kicks the bucket, I will probably pick up a 723DC, since it is the model that looks to have replaced the 750.
My 753's came with a 5 year warranty. I had one fail within 5 years (due to constant use). They had me cut the cord on the unit and send them a picture of the cut cord and the tag (in one shot). Then I got a brand new 753 mailed to me at not cost. And that had a new 5 year warranty.
Anyway, you would do yourself a solid by considering Vornado. Even if it is a few bucks more, it will be worth it.
