Yeah, I was a early fan of iRobot prior to the Amazon Acquisition. But from what I have read, their durability have been roughly the same. Getting a factory reconditioned model is a risky bet. IMO, definitely need to get the Asurion protection plan in case the sensor, battery, or motor dies.

I might get this as my first. I was looking at the top of the line that also mops. This seems like a better entry point.

I am not sure the Amazon Asurion warranty will work on this item. I will let others who know more make the final call.

I have this. The auto clean base and obstacle avoidance is nice however its navigation still pales in comparison to the Xaiomi Mi I had with LiDAR that was released like 5 years before this.

The biggest issue I have is that the contacts on the charging dock get dirty and need to be cleaned on a regular basis. They require cleaning more often than they should.

I wouldn't pay full price but this price is probably pretty fair.
