It's has been at this price for months. No one is paying $55 "full price"

People are entitled to buy/use whatever tools they want, but what sets the Knipex apart is the design and material quality (particularly the geometry/hardness of their teeth) - they're a "buy it for life" kind of tool whose jaws will outlast most competitors with use/abuse.
