About this product:
  • Anti-Colic internal vent system is clinically proven to reduce colic. Decreases spit-up, burping and gas.
  • Vacuum-free feeding is closest to breastfeeding and Dr. Brown's silicone nipples provide a consistent flow so babies can feed at their own pace.
  • The anti-colic vent system is proven to help preserve bottle milk nutrients and aids in digestion for a better night's sleep.
  • The breast-like nipple shape encourages a proper latch for a more natural bottle feeding experience and eases the transition from breast to bottle and back again.
  • Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Anti-Colic Options+ baby bottle works best with the internal vent system in place but can be removed as baby's feeding develops – no need to introduce a different bottle.
  • Find the perfect flow for introducing a bottle to your breastfed newborn using the two nipple levels included, Preemie Flow (Slowest Flow) and Level 1 (Slow Flow). Store, transport and warm bottles with ease using the included storage/travel caps. Introducing baby to a pacifier is easy with Dr. Brown's HappyPaci 100% silicone one-piece pacifier, shaped like Dr. Brown's bottle nipple that's familiar to baby.
  • Dr. Brown's Narrow bottle is designed to nourish through all of baby's feeding stages and is recyclable.
  • Safe for use in dishwasher (top rack only), electric and microwave sterilizers or boiling water. BPA Free.
  • Gift Set Includes:
    • 4x 4oz/120mL bottles
    • 4x Preemie Flow (Slowest Flow) nipples
    • 4x Level 1 (Slow Flow) nipples
    • 4x Storage/travel caps
    • 1x HappyPaci pacifier (0-6m)

I'd advise getting the 8oz bottles from the start. You won't use the 4oz for long.
Recommend 4oz if you're expecting a baby pretty soon. Probably good for a month. Then after that, I would recommend jumping directly to the 8oz. At that stage, the 4oz ones will still be useful for a quick snack
Our baby is nearly two months old but eats no more than 3 ounces in a sitting. I get your point, but 4 ounce bottles have plenty of life for at least the first 3+ months

My experience with these is they slowly drip and then cause a lot of leakage and clean up. We switched to Avent natural which don't leak a little and requires the baby to suck also the nipple seems more like a boob. Also there's a lot of parts to Dr Brown's so more and harder to clean. Definitely don't be afraid to try it but just my experience. Also i don't my baby needed the colic prevention stuff but we were originally concerned about gas problems but I don't think it was that. Also tried como Tomo which were alright but also does the same dripping as Dr Brown's.

I had two babies back to back - and these bottles are AWESOME.
I never used a dish washer however, I always hand wash. That's a bit of a pain, but it never seemed to get clean enough any other way.

2 sets/ 8 bottles is best. Any less and new parents will struggle to have clean bottles on hand. But in the first few weeks newborns will be drinking 2 hours. But a month later, babies will drink every 3 hours and wash bottles once a day.

We used glass Dr. Brown bottles and washed them in dishwasher. We used too rack for plastic parts + don't use heat ( yeah dishes didn't come out as dry). Did it for both our kids and they come out clean every time. We do rinse them once more after they come out of dishwasher to be safe.

I bought the same set last year for our second child. The bottle collars included leaked whether we had the vent installed or not and we didn't need it in the end. Called to Dr. Browns and they sent me not a set of pink and white replacement collars for all my bottles right away which solved the problems.

Interesting. My one month old does 4 ounces minimum in one feed and can go beyond that easily sometimes based on how long he sleeps. I had to buy the 8oz when he was 5 weeks.

We used these for both of our babies and they worked great! This brand has a different style of bottle that is wider rather than longer, would never recommend those, they leak. But these tall ones are great. No issues.

My kiddo is an absolute house at 7months old but he still rarely wants more than 4oz of bottle at a time. We have a bunch of 8oz bottles but we mostly ended up using them for breast milk storage. He also started on purees at 4 mos so that may be why. But today I was thinking I wonder if we are ever really going to use the bigger bottles. Anyway, your mileage may vary.
