I think most people want to know how good of a job it does compared to the Vitamix to see if they can get by with a $70 purchase vs over $300 purchase for their needs.

I bought one of these. Seems like a nice blender, has done well in liqufying things into hot sauce. I don't use my blender all that often so I'm not exactly in for vitamix money. No complaints.

It's simple. Vitamix is the gold standard. So naturally people want to know how well it does compared to that. I don't think anyone is expecting a $70 blender to perform as well as a $300 model. But if it can get close at less than a quarter of the price, that would be great to know.

I can easily say I am a recent Ninja Blender convert, it just has worked so much better than I expected that I didnt even hesitate to get the single cup blender too lol

Heck yeah... It's nice to have the smaller unit to leave on the counter... But I did feel quite stupid when I realized that we could have just bought the blender cups and used them in place of the larger one with handle as they use the exact same locking mechanism on the base lol. Oh well, save the extra 300W for the big tasks with the tree-of-blades lol. We have a spare if one goes down now haha.

Yea, we thought about just buying the cups but having the smaller unit out full time and it being used daily whilst the big boy gets hauled out on weekends made more sense. It felt silly at first but my wife is in love with me pulling the trigger on that. It's one of those first world problems...

I noticed in Costco the other day that they had something similar on sale for $50 [costco.com]. Looks like this one is better though with the additional cups and 1400w vs 1000w.

I have the model that does not come with the single serving units, and use it regularly for frappes. I just used it on kale, and love how consistent it cuts the bits without worrying it won't process because of too little liquid (I still use a little).

I have a ninja kitchen system. It performs the blending task well. It gets very noisy or leaky after a while at which point you have to replace the 7-fin blender blade. Blender Blades cost 24.99 + 9.99 shipping and of course tax from the Ninja website. I have been buying the after-market blade for $16 from Amazon because the genuine ones also break down. Been putting up with the noise and this replacement nonsense because of the significant investment I already made in the other accessories(coffee, food processor) and they all work. It is some design flaw with the blades that it can't withstand the force.

These ninja blenders all use plastic fittings for the connections - with a fairly powerful motor, it's too much stress on the cheap plastic pieces, I've had a few and they've all outlived the warranty by about two months. Don't waste your money
