The most recent reviews complain about no ice pack. It seems they did do it at one point though, per this review: "My acupuncturist recommended this to help regulate my digestion during pregnancy and it works great! It's resolved my bloating and constipation. Also it arrived in a cool packege with ice packs. Definitely a great investment!"

So be advised older reviews may reflect a time when the product was kept cool until delivery, and newer reviews may not.

Last time I ordered Jarrow stuff off Amazon, I got 2 cases of the wrong item twice. Because it's non-returnable product, it was a big headache getting it sorted.

Can confirm. Bought this from Amazon and received without an ice pack. Was promptly refunded and told to keep the pills but they found their way to the garbage can.

If the bottle gets too hot, the bacteria will die off and would either be less effective or not effective at all. Some probiotics are "shelf stable" which means they don't need refrigeration; however they should not be exposed to hot temperatures.

Also received today with no ice pack. It was a superquick refund process when I went through their AI Chat (2 minutes and got my refund)

Not too sure what you meant by "not refrigerated"? Amazon/other carrier trucks get excessively hot in hotter weather. The cargo areas aren't air conditioned. Even if they use ice packs, they'll melt in no time. It's highly unlikely that products that require refrigeration are kept refrigerated at the fulfillment centers. Bottom line is that the smart thing to do is avoid purchasing any supplements that are temperature sensitive from Amazon and if you must, do it when temps are much lower in your general area (fall and winter months only). Low temps aren't nearly as destructive as high temps.

They shouldn't even be selling a product such as this that requires refrigeration since the temp, even with ice packs, is unstable at best and once they start melting (which they will, especially in warm weather), the product is either highly questionable or useless. You're essentially saving money on a placebo!
