From what I can gather, Sweetwater themselves doesn't know what in particular makes these guitars from ESP "dent 'n' scratch" as they're still sealed and have no gallery photos. They only know that these had very minor cosmetic flaws from handling; enough to still be sold like new with a full manufacturer's warranty. In that respect they're very similar to
ESP's Player Grade [espguitars.com]. These will be in much better shape than a demo or floor model. The flaws are usually things like < 1" scratches, tiny dings in the finish, etc.
