Really cheap. The negatives of this lock are it uses 4AA batteries which can fail quicker vs 9V, also the motorized design of the unlock is not my favorite as that drains the battery even faster. I much prefer the Schlage style locks with 9v that you manually lock or unlock which makes the battery last far longer.

But for $20 this can't be beat for places you don't care about as much.

Still working for me as of 5 minutes ago.

Ordered 2 for two exterior gates. Those gates need to be replaced anyways so if these locks hold up for at least a year while I mull over replacing the gates, it's worth it.

I got the fingerprint version when it was an SD front page deal and its been great the last 8 months. The motorized lock/unlock eats batteries so just plan for that, but otherwise very reliable and easy. Its easy enough to re-key to match your homes other schlage locks.

Depends. I have the fingerprint model of this and it uses an SW1 Schlage keyway and my old locks use a Kwikset KW1 keyway so I was unable. If you have Schlage keyways in your other locks it might be very possible.

Well, yeah. If someone with LPL's skill wants to open something, locks aren't going to stop him. But compared to the vast majority of locks he opens, this one got some kudos for the security pins at the end of the video.

Got 2 of these in march and they are still working great on rechargeable AAs. Still havent charged them yet. Lock motor gets used maybe 4-5 times daily.
