Looks like they matched Best Buy, debating if I should cancel the Best Buy order and get it from Amazon instead.

My Airpods pro from 2019 which I sparingly used developed a static noise on one of the sides and it is out of the 3-year period for the recall so I can't get it replaced for free.

Only difference is Amazon delivers on 9/26 for me but Best Buy "ships by" the release date which is 9/22, thought it said get it by 9/22..

Your missing out. Yeah it's pricy but so are iPhones. Love the ambient noise feature when running so I can hear around me for safety. ANC is top notch.

Yes I have the same issue on right pod of my AirPods Pro 1st gen from 2019. I went to an Apple repair store. And they told me to ask Apple to make an exception, so they can fix it for free. I am going to try that

I have the Beats earbuds that have the Apple chip. Recently, I have had to totally forget the device (Beats) and re-pair it to get them working. Anyone have experience with this? I like the Beats because they hook over my ears and are good for running and the gym as they won't fall out

Coincidentally I had the same exact issue - static on the right side when noise control was enabled, contacted apple support chat and gave them all the info on firmware version and iPhone iOS version - I was a bit outdated on iOS (16.3.1) so the support rep said I should update my iOS to the latest version (which I didn't believe would work) but lo and behold, to my amazement, the problem went away after updating iOS to 16.6.1. Couldn't believe it

My 2020 1st gen did the same thing. Used it fairly sparingly too. I think apple store quoted me $89 to fix it.
