Do you recommend install this on ThinkPad X1 or P31? Just business use no gaming.

This one will have some small benefits to performance that you likely won't notice unless you transfer files often or do something that really stresses it. I would suggest P31 in most cases, but especially if you use it on battery often or if it only has a gen 3 nvme slot. If you mostly use the laptop plugged in and have a gen 4 nvme slot, this might be worth the little extra if you often are reading/writing/transferring files.

Edit: if the laptop is newer it likely has gen 4 nvme, but double check your user manual or online to make sure.

Thank you for your reply. How much hotter do you think P41 runs than P31?

this or 980 pro ?
I did my research a while back in November 2022 and the P41 platinum was hands down the better choice.

Intel 670p at 65.00 or this ?

Depends on your use case. I have both drives. If you use for basic storage, get the 670p.
If you want one of the top 5 fastest drives out there, the P41 is it.

Can you let us know if the P41 is hotter? Just bought the P31 on sale that I waited over a month for. P31 seems like a good deal until the P41 comes down to $30 later.

Very hot. You will need a good heatsink and great air flow. It's ideal for desktops.

Thank you for your reply. I guess P31 is the way to go for X1 carbon.
