This is a solid product. I bought another one since the filters are really hard to find. Although for 10$ I could just keep buying these every few months and have spare parts. Good deal IMHO. Cats love it and it is nice to see the water level vs some other devices I have bought in the past. The only thing missing is a light for the water tank.

I have a catit green fountain. Is there a reason to upgrade to this?

Looks like the green fountain just has a charcoal filter. This filter is pressured from the bottom. I think it does a better job with bacteria etc. As mentioned I am really happy with mine. It's been great.

The problem with cat fountains is they end up broken from your hard water deposits unless you only used distilled water.

Please DO NOT give distilled water to your pets! It will make them sick. I use the reverse osmosis filtered water. Works great with my Baseus 2.5L Lotis Y1 Smart Cat Water Fountain Pet Water Dispenser.
