Lots of misinformation in this thread. I have 2 of these bikes.

1) SUPER easy to assemble. All the nuts/bolts are pre-installed. You loosen and install.
2) The bike is very well-built. Quality parts including metal fenders and solid wheels.
3) There's nothing to break on the bike's handle bars and there's no way to install BMX style bars on this bike. To that poster I say post a picture of the break because that's a load of BS.
4) The bike is locked at 15mph as per European rules. Unlocking the bike is easy but not using the directions that were shared earlier…..those are wrong. See below.
5) The bike will hit 26-29mph depending on your weight.
6) Li batteries are not the problem with fires. Charging damaged batteries is. Also what you think you know about charging batteries is wrong.
- Charge your Li batteries regularly. Don't let them get to 10% or less.
- Once every 30 charges, purposely take the battery to failure and then recharge fully to avoid charge-memory.

What the bike does need is a suspension seat. I recommend the SunTour SR NCX. $50 on AliExpress.

Buyer beware I own this bike the handle bars rod broke toward the bottom thin cast aluminum welded bad. Installed BMX style handle bars. Seen on Facebook front fender cause for failure people to wreak. Had trouble but worked the bugs out now it a decent bike for the money.

I use this everyday, 20 miles to ride to work on mostly bike trail but some wooded trail. If you are riding on pavement mostly it's very loud. I ride at slow speed, under 8mph and it's pretty quiet. Awesome bike for the price, just hit 2000 miles and replaced the brake pads but as stated the brakes aren't great and the weakest point. Handlebars I always replace, and the pedals are dinky and small this morning my foot slipped so I will replace the folding pedals but overall if you know those problems, along with the overall weight of the bike, it's a great way to save money. Just don't get it if mostly on pavement.

I was considering an lectric xp bike, but I decided to try this to save money and I'm very happy I went with it. But I have 10,000 miles electric bike experience and know how to maintain these things, if someone is new I wouldn't recommend this and would suggest xp or rad bike
Where did you get replacement pads from? We love this bike! we have 2 and have almost 1000 miles on both in 3 months. Thanks!

You ride 20mi to work on this? At less than 8mph? It would take more than 2.5 hrs, each way! That's 5hrs on this thing everyday - yikes! There's gotta be a better way.
He must've meant 18. No way he's sitting on a bike that long.

I could see that not being a problem with a scooter but an ebike (and one that weighs 70lbs)? Seems pretty large to walk through any store... I hardly ever see anyone walking through stores around here with a regular bike.
Imagine someone in a store with this monster lol.. handlebar in one hand, cart in the other

Took mine off-road on a rough trail. Terrible experience. The short wheel base combined with the high seating position made me feel very sketchy. The pedal assist kicks after 2 to 4 seconds and always the wrong time. This thing would throw you forward off a jump then break in half on landing.

Good for a flat dirt road or sand

Anyone figured out how to unlock the throttle on the pedal only versions? The various guides on programming on YouTube don't work for mine. I think I might have to swap controllers

The description says 26mph max and, in my experience, that's only at a full charge, 150lbs or less, and other optimal conditions. Probably closer to 20mph most of the time.
Mine does 28mph on flat ez. >150 lb rider

20 miles round trip. Pedal assist 1 goes 6mph, pedal assist 2 is 8mph to 10mph. Level 3 is 12mph and my bike gets loud at over 10 mph, might be the motor or the rotors rubbing maybe.

I am in love with biking and live in a beautiful part of the world, Northern Virginia and I'm lucky the bike trail I use is completely in nature and I used to ride quickly to work, now I take things slow and listen to music and watch the wild plants grow in various seasons and even stop and take photos and videos and explore the various plants, edible berries and beautiful flowers. So I like to ride slow, 8mph is a good speed to be able to see everything.

The bike computer is programmable but I haven't messed with it much.

I got them on Amazon, they take the generic electric bike pads, same ones my other electric bike from 2 years ago. I can post later the ones I got. I just generally get cheap pads, about $10 a set but I'm considering buying better pads or even swap out the whole brake system

I don't get out much and I'd need to lose some weight. Might do it with rebate - The WA state Legislature approved $5 million for rebates of up to $1,200 for electric bike purchases. other states too. https://wabikes.org/index.php/202...ton-state/

What do you mean by "pedal only version"? Which exact ebike did you order? Is it this model - the EP-2 Pro or whatever?

Assuming by "unlock", you mean how to just enable the throttle for use in general, then.... If it's this exact model, then this is what you do:

1.) Put the key in and turn it left(?) to have the bike "on".

2.) On the right handle area, twist the throttle all the way (should be towards you, if I remember right) - and hold it - while you're also holding the right brake down all the way.

3.) Tap the power button on the display computer to turn it on. It should flash something like ERROR 22 or something for a moment.

4. Let it flash for a quick moment, then release the throttle and brakes.

5.) Press the "+" (plus) button to shift to the first assist mode (it should show "1" instead of "0" at the bottom of the screen now)

6.) Try twisting the throttle just a little to see if it moves forward. If it moves, the throttle is enabled. If not, you have to repeat the process. For me, I always have to do it a second time. I don't think it's user error.
