Why have a fully electric humidor like this that doesn't include a built in electric humidifier system? You know, the important part of a humidor.

Well, the answer is easy. Because they are just converting wine coolers in the cheapest way possible and slapping a hydrometer on it

I use 2 320 gram Bovedas and 4 60 gram Bovedas and my rh has been steady at 69% with the temp @ 70 degrees.
This unit also cools and heats to maintain proper aging of cigars.

Yeah. Obviously you can humidify it in other ways. But if your going to go to the effort to get/make an electric humidor, not adding a built in electric humidification seems dumb and the only reason they do it like that is because there's a bigger profit margin for them skimping on that by just repurposing existing wine coolers

Lol. Why you taking this so personally? These your wine coolers you're pushing?

I'm not saying you can get one with humidification for this price or even that this price is bad for a wine cooler with some cedar boards in it. Though you can easily just get wine coolers for much cheaper and just throw some cedar in there and call it a day.

I'm literally just making commentary that all the companies that make these are skimping on adding the most important function of a humidor because they are trying to sell you the easiest thing they can for the biggest profit margin.

Take existing wine coolers, change the min/max temp range, replace shelves with cedar boards, add hydrometer on one of the shelves. Done, markup and profit.

Idk where you're storing your humidor that isn't indoors in normal human living temperatures to where the room temp is so extreme that it's unoptimal for cigar storage though, if we're being real on whether you really need separate climate control though, tbh

Exactly. Last time he posted another Newair POS he got very butthurt when all the problems and misrepresentations were brought to light. Even claimed it wasn't listed on Amazon, except it was and the reviews mentioned all the issues it had. Unless you work for the company, there's no need to get so offended at others knowing what they're talking about. The cigar world doesn't take particularly well to these anyway, theres little support for them and enthusiasts generally see through the BS of this white label garbage.

Oh look, here it is; https://www.alibaba.com/product-d...70363.html

$51 on a minimum order of 250 units. Those are some decent margins on your $179 "sale" with no humidification and "cedar" boards.

I have a Thompson 200ct with 7 drawers
https://www.thompsoncigar.com/p/c...or/93746/?

And a La Veil dch-200 electric humidifier.

But I only happen to have those particular products bc some guy was selling them both on Craigslist, paid like $70. Ended up getting like 60 free bonus cigars in it too lol

Very good price on one of these, especially for the capacity. Toss some Boveda packs in it and it should be good to go.

Only thing I don't like is the cheesy design on the side. Smilie

This makes absolutely no sense. NewAir makes refrigeration products. If you want a built in electric humidifier in your humidor, go buy that instead.

It sits on my counter behind my bar and the look helps my buddies know cigars are in there. If built in you wouldn't see it. Either way it wasn't a deal breaker for me.

For a smaller humidor like this (even up to a 28 bottle converted wine fridge) you can run Boveda packs for humidity or get some humidity beads (I run beads since they last almost forever, I use HCM beads)
