They adjusted the stainless steel prices back to full price while I was on the page clicking between the versions. Lasted 2 hours since you posted this.

Highly likely next year will be a bigger release given its 10-year anniversary. If your battery is fine, may want to wait? the reddit for apple watch has a ton of people discussing upgrades, next year, etc..
