The ground has to be pretty flat (or at least even) for it to stay stable. If it's slightly off, it will 'walk'. And if the ground is level, sawhorses would work just as well.
The one area that it excels in is how small it packs up. It feels pretty flimsy when you're setting it up but it is very stable once it's on flat ground and has a top clamped to it (I usually use a 2'x8' chunk of subfloor).

I could see using this to rip down sheet goods with a track saw EXCEPT it only has 6 feet or contact points. If each side could be supported by 4 points (8 total), it would be more usable for me.

In my opinion it is not very useful on its own (I.e. laying a sheet of plywood on top to cut). But if you clamp a sacrificial top on (like the OSB subfloor I usually use), it's just a big tabletop to use however you like. Works great with a track saw - either throw some dunnage underneath or keep the blade depth close.

For those who are more experienced, what would be better, a traditional sawhorse? or this product? I'll be using a sacrificial piece of plywood no matter which option I go with. Would love to get thoughts and input from others.
