Dont fall for this. Went to walmart purchased over $30 of qualified candy, got only $5. Also it only works on preselected halloween movies only. Not worth it.

I bought 2 packages of 'qualifying products' and submitted my Walmart receipt. To keep it simple, I only bought two items, $3.28 Skittles and $12.56 Mars mixed chocolates with the exact UPCs for each item right on the receipt and they still denied it today with this email reply:


We're sorry to let you know that the image of your receipt that you submitted could not be accepted. We were unable to identify a qualifying purchase based on the image that you submitted. Please submit an image of your receipt with a qualifying purchase by 11/07/2023. For offer details go to https://www2.activaterewards.com/...er_details.

Its a scam to get you to buy more candy. All for $5. So not worth it. Just saw the list of movies and all those are poop and way overpriced. Doing a lot of work on our end then the reps say sorry you don't qualify. WAIST OF TIME 😐

Thanks for posting a link to the list of eligible movies. I agree the $15 regular price is a bit much, so pick something that's on sale.

That list is much better than I expected once someone mentioned that the $5 credit was restricted to certain movies. I already have the original Ghostbusters (1984), the 8 Harry Potter movies, and The Mummy (1999). (I got them all in HD via the old disc-to-digital program several years ago.) Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed is on my wishlist; it's not highly rated, but I find it quite amusing.

I checked the UPC [40000582267] for the 125ct Mars Mix [walmart.com] and it doesn't exactly match the UPC on Fandango's promotion page [4000058226]. I would try re-submitting and highlighting or underlining the exact string in your receipt image because it is possible whoever invalidated your receipt was not reading it correctly. Still a rather scummy tactic by Fandango if that is the case because none of their listed UPCs show up in WalMart Brickseek inventory...

If you want to check the WalMart UPC of an item to cross reference you can right click the page -> 'view source', cmd or ctrl + f, and search for UPC in the HTML.

I just returned the candy. For starters 40 cents per ounce for Mars candy is just way over-priced. I paid less than half of that at Walgreens. Plus I realized that the credit was only good for that limited list of Halloween-type movies.

I've done lots of other Activate Rewards promos involving Fandango/ Vudu credits but this one is a Waste.
