In my area, people want a ridiculous amount for their crusty, hard water stained aquariums that have been sitting in their garage for 5 years.
If you live in Northern California especially near the Bay Area, folks literal give them away.

Be aware that Aqueon tanks have terrible quality issues, specifically with the silicone seams at the edges. I think it's safe to use their ten gallon tanks - pressure is relatively low, and it's just ten gallons on the floor. But I've had several of their larger tanks fail and leak. Others report catastrophic failures, not just slow leaks. And inspecting some new Aqueon tanks, I've found voids, gaps, even one where the silicone just was missing alone the last few edges of one edge.

I love the price on their small tanks but stay away from anything larger than ten gallons. Maybe they've addressed the problem since, but I saw this from ~2021 up to a tank in store just a few months ago. EDIT: Or don't stay away, but inspect them closely in the parking lot.
You are dead wrong. They are the are the standard for the hobby and have been for decades. Aqueon is the parent company for a company called All Glass Aquarium located outside of Milwaukee Wisconsin. I got my first All Glass Tank in 1974 at the age of 3 and it is still up and running. I did have to reseal it in the late 90's but it is still running.

OK, so you are going to say, they don't make them like that anymore.... Right?
Well.... They do.... how do I know this? As a local Milwaukee cheesehead, I have met people that work at the Franklin, WI plant that churns these out. I asked the question if they have changed the process, and it was a yes. Still use quality glass, but the silicone has improved substantially and other than that, they still use the same process same forms and everything else.

Sorry if you had a bad experience, if you would have reached out to Aqueon and said "I had a bad experience" They would have turned that frown upside down and you would have an ear to ear grin at how fast they took care of you and made it right.

I am not just posting poo on the internet... I have 5 of their tanks... heck I am looking at the 75 gallon and the 55 gallon in my living room right now, and if I turn my head.... Look!!! A 20 with a 29 above it on a stand I bought from All Glass in the early 1980s. When I go to bed to night another 29 will be bubbling and humming me to sleep.

So... as Forest George Gump so eloquently said "and that's all I'm gonna say about that"

I wonder if fish tanks would be a cheaper alternative for display cases 🤔🤔
