I've had these since day 1. The price is great. For anyone wondering how these compare to the XM4s, here are some pros & cons:

PRO:
- Smaller earbuds and case
- Claimed to have better battery durability (XM4s battery capacity significantly dropped within a year of heavy use)
- Sound on par with XM5 despite smaller size
- Replaced the spoken status with chimes (end result, quicker to resume playing)
- Senses touch more regularly than the XM4, which was pretty finicky

CON:
- New charging case can't fit large ear gels, resulting in poor connection/failed charging/accidental connection to phone
- This is the biggest annoyance as it requires me to remove the gels to charge them every day.
- Prefer the matte finish of the XM4 (as do many others)
- A little too sensitive to touch - I wear them to bed and on rare occasions, they are triggered by the pillow when by rolling over

Great deal but after the XM4 firmware debacle, I am not very sure about 90days warranty. I will personally wait for it to be on eBay with the 2 years warranty. Or buy the extended warranty if you really cannot wait.

I bought from this vendor on ebay with 2 years warranty in Mar 2022. The batteries drained in 1 hour now. I will send it in for repair.

I bought the xm4 on secondipity deal, they had the common tone issue where the speaker shield would sound like a bell every time it played. Had to return, waste of time

Is a defective battery covered under the extended warranty? Thinking about getting a two year warranty from Consumer Priority Service.

Check out Louis Rossam YouTube video on well know battery issue of XM4. Very bad of Sony and it happened to me on my XM4s

Will be avoiding Sony in the foreseeable future.

I got my first pair from Secondipity on eBay and got the 2 year warranty. I sent them in last week and today got an email stating "After a close inspection of your item, we've determined that a repair is not possible." New batteries are about $15 and it takes maybe 20 minutes, a heat gun and a little glue to fix them. The $20 defective pair I got off eBay in June (I replaced the batteries) are still working with a long battery life.

I wonder if you could get away with keeping the charging case and just send in the buds. You are supposed to keep accessories but are supposed to send in the charger/AC adapter. Working cases are harder to get than earbuds.

Yes. They always have these sales with the latest versions of the Sony earbuds and headphones. Bought wf xm4, wh xm3, and wh xm5 from them. Each time item came in generic zip lock bag but all looks brand new.
