This is a slightly watered down version of their workstation laptops. I use the Thnkpad P15 as my daily driver.

Creator laptop = color calibrated screen with discrete graphics + 60hz screen

2 NVME slots
2 RAM slots
1 USB4 (TB3) port
decent CPU on par with 11th gen Intel CPUs

It really isnt anything to write home about since it eliminates the main benefit of workstation machines, which is expandability and fast professional graphics, both of which this machine does not have. Professional cards can never be overclocked. The screen is very nice, but 16:9 is kind of on its way out.

If you really need the ISV compatibility (implying that you intend to make money with your machine eventually), you can do better with a new or refurbished laptop off of ebay.

The P16s Gen 2 with Zen 4 (much better performance) and 16:10 display, double the RAM, weighing about a pound less, much bigger battery, and 1080p webcam, is about the same price. No dGPU but the RDNA 3 iGPU is about as fast as this T1200.

This P15v is a terrible buy in comparison.

I got thinkpad 14 gen 3 earlier from my company and now they changed to p15. This laptop is super heavy, big and it uses proprietary charger which is 135w, where as other thinkpad laptops are 65w. Also, it holds charge only for 2 hr.
