actually, I went with these. Same specs as the Kingston mentioned above:

Timings are important because since processors run much faster than RAM, the longer the CPU has to wait ("clocks" or "clock ticks" of the driving frequency) for the memory to produce the data, the slower the overall performance (in memory-intensive operations).
So while one generally doesn't gain much between Ex. 40 vs 38, in your question on 40 vs 46, a little slower operation might be noticed. Or not. Benchmark testing would show a difference.
