Liquid Shield is currently available at a special clearance price of just $6 at Autozone, significantly reduced from its regular price of $13 at Autozone and $11 on Amazon.

For those who might not be familiar with it, Liquid Shield is an automotive undercoating designed to effectively prevent rust. It is recommended for application on your vehicle's undercarriage annually. I recently used three cans to coat my compact car just last Sunday. In short, it's a pressurized oil-based product.

I was particularly impressed by the numerous positive reviews I found on YouTube. One review, in particular, stood out to me where a user reported experiencing positive results after a three long test in New York.

After you apply, I suggest you park on street for a couple of days right after the application. If you apply a thick layer, it will drip.

Good luck

Repair Geek on YouTube has great videos comparing different rust preventers.

He says this Blaster one is the best product that will creep and self heal (because it will flow some).

The other category is products that dry rather than stay tacky/greasy but those have the disadvantage of getting chips in them which then allows water to get to the surface you're trying to protect. So those aren't favored on cars.
As it says on the B'laster can, this is a lanolin-based product just like Fluidfilm. It is subject to washing off easily and should be retreated every year. https://youtu.be/lyWHF4NoNVk?si=b-mxFdhFQ_z-4pgX

I've used this and it works great. Does not wash off like the oil based or Fluidfilm (lanolin) type products. Slightly more expensive but well worth it. It's a tenacious clear amber color and remains waxy/flexible and does not wash off easily. I just don't feel like crawling under my car and retreating it every year as is needed with the other products.
For tools, Use any silicone based spray. CRC heavy duty silicone being the best, been using for last 25 yrs and not a single tool has rusted, incl the ones from HF.

Solid deal, thanks OP! I've coated my truck the last several years. I've actually used white lithium spray grease and it does work well but shows up white which doesn't look all that great. This oil based product designed specifically for what I'm doing likely works better.

How does it compare to LPS3 or Boeshield?
