Typically this isn't a great deal, but for the people with the American Express Platinum who are using the $20 monthly credit for Audible, this might be useful.

Since the $20 monthly credit for Audible is going away on October 1st, some folks might be getting rid of a monthly Audible subscription. You lose all your credits if you do that, so you need to spend them beforehand.

This is an opportunity to spend a lot of credits and get something back.

I second this. My libraries have both audio and ebooks available through Libby. There is a web browser extension that checks Amazon and Audible to show availability of a book I am interested in. I only kept my Audible membership due to the AMEX credit so using up the last of my Audible credits this week. But Libby and Hoopla for me is the way to go.

I use Libby too but Hoopla has had more books available instantly. It's my new discovery!

Under my extensions it just says "Library Extension" - www.libraryextension.com
Website says it's available on Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

You can pause payment for 3 months and still use existing credits. I did that. I will switch to annual with a loyalty discount as mentioned above after.

I am also disappointed this got removed from Amex

This is good to know. But will this affect the $15 credit that is part of the recent promotion to use four credits? I was planning to wait for the credit (expected in the next few days) then cancel my subscription although in this case I would put it on pause.

I contacted chat customer support and they explained having issues and manually added a credit to the account.

I had the credit offer. Just messaged support and they added the credit. Took 5 minutes and no hassle aside from them not adding it to my account automatically to begin with.
