One difference is the battery type, Lithium-ion on the river pro, so only like 800 charges. Vs LiFePO4 and over 2000 charges.

Still learning about these things slowly - why are they calling this a "solar generator?" From the post title l thought this was a power station and solar panel combo (& at 700W, a surprisingly powerful one at that) for a dirt cheap price, and was gonna jump all over it until I didn't see a solar panel anywhere.

because people are idiots. You are absolutely right, these should be called Power Stations. Yes, you can attach a solar panel to it, but it still does not 'generate' the power but simply stores it.

Ordered the PS72 after watching the YT review. Seems like a no frills, basic b of a power station, but $$/Wh seems really good for the capacity. If anyone see any better dollar/power in this price range (not over $600) please post!

Can I charge the OP's product with this:

Yes, you can charge any power station with this as long as you get the correct adapter. The bluetti looks like it comes with the adapter already.

I agree with you. I also wonder how frequent this actually occur today? I know in the days of cheap hover boards w/o any UL listing, etc, this occurs regularly due to zero QA and poor manufacturing process/materials. Of recent, this seems to only occurred on high voltage situation, i.e. EV w/ 400+ volt systems.

I believe, if the device is UL listed or the EU standard listing, the device would be safe unless it is temper with.
I'm sure it happens not very often, but the way I think of it with all the good deals to be had with LiPo, why even bother with regular lithium? It would be one thing if the regular lithiums were substantially cheaper than LiPo but they are not.

So... just more marketing BS (read: "thinly veiled lies"), then? I'm starting to see why so many people dump all over this brand. TYVM for the answer - repped.
I feel the term solar generator is appropriate. Gas generators need fuel…

In 2023 I still have to tell people what a hybrid vehicle is and it doesn't have to be plugged in. Generator is what people know.

No coupon for me and I'm logged in.
Probably something I don't need.

I have to hard disagree on the "off brand" comments earlier. I think Bluetti is one of the best brands for these devices. For example, they actually disconnect the battery once full when using the plug on the device while the battery is plugged into the wall, so the battery doesn't cycle and wear out when used while plugged in as a backup source. Most of these battery stations don't do that, and you shouldn't leave them plugged in while using them. You can use this one plugged in, with the battery ready to take over if the power goes out. It's also LiFePO4, which is the safest chemistry and a requirement to be used in my house.
I may have misspoke, I know Bluetti is a major brand and probably gets good marks. And occasional lemons come along, my main point was to test them out within the short return window.

I kept the Tenergy since they refunded me in full for bundle. I tried resetting it with two buttons but that didn't help. I may have to baby sit it while charging or try to update firmware to get the fan going again. Doubt it would heat up running DC out to cpap so it's still useful.

I just looked up my order from Amazon, BLUETTI Portable Power Station EB3A refunded easily with Prime.

NOTE: I have the PS54 and it does not work with the app(no bluetooth). It will also constantly just 'stop' charging from the AC adapter and run itself out of power if I don't monitoring it closely. unplug/replug the adapter from the unit will kick it back to charging but not always for long and I have to repeat if i dont want my freezer to stop cooling and meat to spoil as has already happened once

I have the EB70S and experienced the same stop charging effect. CSR says the battery will only charge to 100% if it drains to zero. If you do a partial charge, it will charge to 80% and stop to preserve the LiFePo4 batteries. It's annoying as hell plus EB doesn't use numerical value when charging/discharge. It's a stupid bar graph. I would go with EcoFlow just on these two defects, imo.

Is this a European spec socket? The picture seems a little confusing. European and American voltages don't mix.
